Family Economic Empowerment

Family Economic Empowerment Task Force brings together family service agencies, emergency housing shelters, nonprofit housing developers and community advocates to work for affordable housing and jobs for Bridgeport residents.

Co-chairs are community leaders Marta Calderon and Margie Powell

2009-2010 Action Agenda: 

    Research and advocacy for new strategies and policies to expand affordable housing for families in Bridgeport

    Research and advocacy for increased job opportunities for Bridgeport residents through job training and the Jobs Funnel Program

    Work with Continuum of Care and the Partnership for Strong Communities to increase permanent supportive housing for families in Bridgeport.
