Children's Health

Children’s Health Task Force brings together the Bridgeport community to identify critical issues in children’s health and work together to address them.

Co-chairs are Fran Newby, Southwest Community Health Center and Nancy Busch, St. Vincent’s Family Health Center.

2008–2009 Action Agenda:

    Research the impact of ever-increasing costs of energy gasoline, home heating costs, and food prices - on the nutrition and health of low-income children. 

    Advocacy for universal health care and organizing to reach out to small businesses and concerned citizens in Bridgeport and its surrounding suburbs 

    Identifying and addressing barriers to enrollment and access to HUSKY, Connecticut’s children’s health insurance program
